Backend Developer (Node.js)

About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Developer to design and maintain APIs and services powering client web and mobile applications, on a contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

1. Design and build RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
2. Model and maintain PostgreSQL/MongoDB databases
3. Write automated tests and maintain CI pipelines
4. Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation
5. Monitor and optimize application performance
6. Document APIs for frontend and mobile teams

Requirements

1. 3+ years of backend development experience with Node.js
2. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
3. Experience with Docker and basic cloud deployment (AWS/GCP)
4. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
5. Ability to work independently on a remote, async team
